Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 98

Mrs. Kathryn L. (nee Bragger) Lewis, 98 of Nutley, NJ passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley on Saturday, March 16 at 4:00 p.m.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.  The cremation will be held privately.

Kathryn was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a lifelong resident of Nutley.  She was employed by the People’s Bank in Belleville for 30 years starting in the Bookkeeping Dept. and working her way up to be Branch Manager before retiring at the age of 65.  She was Past-President and Treasurer for the Nutley Senior Citizens, and was a member of the Nutley Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #1290.   

She is survived by her beloved children Donald Lewis and his wife Theresa, Richard Lewis and his wife Denise, and Lorraine Bjorndal; her loving sister Alayne McGuire; and her eight cherished grandchildren and seven precious great-grandchildren.  

Kathryn is predeceased by husband Robert C. Lewis, Sr. (1973), her son Robert C. Lewis, Jr. (2000); her parents Henry and Frances (nee Campbell) Bragger, and her siblings Frances Bragger, Martha McDaniel, Edgar Bragger and Helen Kirk.
